An independent record of who does this work.
Epoxy Metrics is a directory of epoxy flooring and concrete coating contractors in Florida. We are not a lead broker and we do not install floors. We publish the same public details for everyone and let you decide.
What we do
- List every coating contractor we can verify in a city, whether or not they know we exist.
- Show the same public details for each of them, wherever we have it: rating, review count, years in business, services, service area, photos, and how to reach them directly.
- Date every figure, so you can see when it was last checked rather than taking it on trust.
- Explain the trade well enough that you can judge a quote yourself, in our guides.
What we don’t do
- Collect your enquiry at all. You call or email the contractor yourself, from the details on their profile, so there is nothing for us to sell to five of them.
- Rank or score contractors. There is no formula and no league table, so there is nothing to buy a place in.
- Install flooring, or take a commission on work booked.
- Remove a contractor because they asked. We correct errors, not unflattering facts.
Who gets listed
We add contractors we can verify are trading in a city we cover. A business does not need to know about us, agree with us, or pay us to appear.
Right now that is 14 contractors across 3 cities. We would rather cover a small area properly than the whole state badly, so it grows slowly.
Where the numbers come from
Ratings and review counts are read from each business’s public listing and typed in by hand. Every profile shows the date its figures were last checked, because a number without a date is a claim rather than a fact.
They are not live. Google’s terms do not permit storing their review data, so an automatic feed is not available to us, and we would rather show you a dated number we checked than pretend to a freshness we do not have.
How we make money
Today, we don’t. The plan is paid featured placement for contractors who want more visibility, sold as advertising and labeled as advertising wherever it appears.
The line we will not cross is selling the listings themselves: hiding a contractor who will not pay, editing the facts on a paying one’s profile, or selling the same enquiry to five businesses at once. The moment the directory reflects who paid rather than who trades, it stops being information and becomes an ad.
